What is the purpose of 'The Sound of Eindhoven'?

This project is intended to put musical talent and their ode to Eindhoven in the spotlight. The goal of the contest is to choose what will be the sound of Eindhoven, in the form of music.

Why should you participate?

Not only does The Sound of Eindhoven offer you extra exposure, you also have a chance of winning the audience award and/or jury prize.

Who can participate?

Anyone aged 16 or older may enter the contest. All genres and all levels are welcome. From rock to rap, and from acoustic love songs to techno tunes without lyrics. You get it: anything goes. The track does not have to be professionally recorded, a telephone recording will also do.

What about the participant's rights?

All rights remain with you, we have no commercial objectives and no, there are no legal pitfalls. We do ask you to cooperate in the communication of this project. To let Eindhoven, but especially yourself and your track shine!

What's in it for Eindhoven365 and Edhv?

We are launching this competition in the form of a campaign to increase the perception of the brand and pride in Eindhoven, but also to give the Eindhoven music scene a boost because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. We want to give the city a positive vibe and have no commercial interest in doing so.

Who is involved in this project?

We have a professional jury with different backgrounds and expertise, embraced and supported by: Popei, Rock City Institute, Muziekgebouw, Dynamo, CKE Eindhoven, Effenaar, Stichting Cultuur Eindhoven, and Metal Factory.

I have submitted my song. Why haven’t I received any confirmation emails?

All submitted songs will be reviewed and selected in the week of April 12th. When your song is selected, you'll receive a confirmation email stating you're officially participating in the contest.
